Licensed Electrical Professional Engineer

Job Description:
Electrical engineer responsible for the management and completion of assigned projects Job Duties:

  • Management of Engineers, Designers, Modelers, and Drafters for the preparation of electrical permit and construction documents
  • Coordination with Owners, Developers, Architects, other Engineering Disciplines, Vendors, and Contractors.
  • Layout and circuiting of electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, lightning protection, and other specialty systems, as dictated by project
  • Calculations of loads, voltage drop, and fault current
  • Development and specifications for riser diagrams which may include UPS, generator(s), and renewable energy source(s)
  • Development and editing of project specifications
  • Preparation of light fixture and feeder schedules
  • Construction Administration including the review of shop drawings and submittals, responding to questions from Clients/Contractors/Inspectors, and site visits to observe and document existing conditions and/or systems installation Job

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with licensure as a Professional Engineer
  • Field experience relating to the installation of commercial electrical systems is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to research
  • Good work ethic with the ability to multi-task
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to conduct themselves properly in an office atmosphere
  • Willingness to adapt to company procedures and standards
